The Ontario Council of University Libraries (OCUL) has launched a new  geospatial and health informatics storage and data discovery tool that,  along with the social science data delivery system [<odesi>|http://odesi.ca] , provides a portal to Ontario researchers to access numeric and  spatial datasets.&nbsp; The new service was made possible with support from  the Government of Ontario through the OntarioBuys initiative.

Updates of Interest

The ArcGIS Online Ocean Basemap was recently updated with Canadian bathymetry data. This basemap is available in Scholars GeoPortal (click Basemap to switch to the ESRI Oceans basemap). More info

The ArcGIS Online World Imagery Basemap was recently updated with expanded coverage of 1m resolution GeoEye IKONOS imagery for parts of Canada. This basemap is available in Scholars GeoPortal (click Basemap to switch to the ESRI Imagery basemap). More info
