Copyright Act | Jessica Whyte | The Copyright Act is now up for review and I think we should talk about organizing any letters or responses (e.g. coordinating examples of digital locks inhibiting our work) Background Information for discussion goo.gl/ys9D7k Key area of interest to us: there is no legal exemption for digital locks. This is a change from how analogue material is dealt with and as a community we might want to bring that to the attention of the review board, others participating in the review, etc. Anyone interested is welcome to participate in the google doc. | |

Grant Hurley | OCUL is looking into organizing a Digital Preservation Management workshop in conjunction with COPPUL. Is there interest in one that COPPUL is hosting in Calgary in June, or a future one in Ontario. Please let Grant know if you or members of your organisation would be interested. | ||
