18.104.22.168.5 - The system of identifiers shall be adequate to fit the repository’s current and foreseeable future requirements such as numbers of objects.
IntroductionThe structure of SP's URIs contain the object's ISSN, a unique eight-digit number bestowed upon the publication by an ISSN centre. As long as unique ISSNs are available, SP's system of identification will be adequate to fit the repository's current and future requirements
In order to accommodate future growth, SP designed its URI system to be flexible and extensible. There is no foreseeable limit to the set of URIs or the length of any individual URI. Please see the URI & File Naming Plan for more information.
