Agenda and Resulting Actions


  1. SPOD update (Martha)
  2. U of T discovery layer RFI and PSAG participation (Martha)  Action: Small working group will be formed with PSAG representation; follow up with Martha if interested and available to begin working on this now.  All are encouraged to participate in vendor demo webcasts and to provide input throughout the process.
  3. Scholars Portage white paper (Mita, Stacey)  Action:  Mita and Stacey will revise the document based on PSAG comments, post on CommentsPress and send a message out to various lists soliciting input; Martha will alert SPOD and ask Leslie to bring it to the attention of directors for discussion.
  4. SFX tuning survey (Dana)  Action:  Dana will post information on the SFX subgroup page regarding next steps around user testing.
  5. SFX statistics (Martha)  Action:  Kate will check with Amaz about developments relating to facilitating getting statistics out of SFX; Dana will post information she has gathered regarding useful SFX statistics, on the SFX subgroup page
  6. Any other matters from subgroups:
    1. User panel (Kate, Martha)  Action:  Kate will let us know when the UofT service is launched and when a Scholars Portal programmer is available to do OCUL customization, at which point we will hone OCUL requirements.
    2. Discovery Tools (Martha, Valerie, Stacy, Kate, Jim)  Action:  Kate will post on the wiki the answer to the question about discrepancies between databases on native platforms and Illumina for all to review, and send a message to the Scholars Portal list indicating the answer is there.
    3. RACER (Dana, Valerie)  Action:  Dana will be setting up a meeting regarding connecting our group with the RACER end user instruction group to work towards interface improvements.
    4. RefWorks (Dana, Mita, Stacy, Jim)  Action:  Beginning to explore connections with writing centres and learning centres.
    5. Scholars Portage (Mita, Stacy)  See above
    6. SFX Tuning (Dana, Kate) See above
  7. Meetings/Calls Schedule  Action:  set monthly calls just prior to SPOD calls/meetings; Martha will send out suggested dates when SPOD calls are set.
